Herb Infused Cocktail ~ Devil's Lemonade

At long last we have made it to October, and with the change of the month we hope that the weather will decide to release its hot hold on us and bring in some cooler temps.  We keep trying to will, fall into existence with decor and food.  If only food and drinks would carry with it cooler weather.  With hope in our hearts and spooky season creeping in, we have created a fun and holiday themed cocktail that is sure to please.

We decided to lean in a little to Spooky season with the name of this month’s Cocktail of the Month, The Devil’s Lemonade.  Don’t get your knickers in a wad, it’s just a name because of the color of the drink, nothing ill will come to you by consuming this holiday twist. It’s spicy, a little tart and oh so good going down.  Order one up with your next stay or be brave and make it on your own, let us show you how.

Devil’s Lemonade

2 oz Bourbon Whiskey

3 oz Lemonade

2 oz Pomegranate Juice

½ oz hot honey

Chili peppers for garnish

Tajin for the rim

Add the whisky, lemonade, and hot honey syrup to an ice filled shaker cup.  Lightly shake your drink until just chilled.  Strain over fresh ice into your glass of choice.  You can add tajin to the rim of your glass if you are looking for a little more kick.  Cut the end of a chili pepper and slit it at the bottom to place on the rim of your glass.  Enjoy!

We love to discover new ways to enjoy our favorite liquors and this one seems like it will hit the spot just right for the holiday spooky season. The addition of a little spice at the end of this drink makes it even more enjoyable.

As always please drink responsibly and have a designated driver. Cheers!
